Session 3 – Staged Accidents: The New Frontier

Join us Friday, Nov. 3 ~ 8:45 a.m.

Learn how auto insurance fraud has become an epidemic, especially in California and Florida. The perpetrators’ methods continue to evolve and gain in sophistication—find out what you can do about it.

With carriers now using electronic data recorders (EDR) and accident reconstruction to defeat staged automobile accidents, scammers are scrambling to stay one step ahead. For example, be on the alert for vehicles crashed together elsewhere and towed to the accident scene.

This session covers complex investigation tools, the six teams that make up staged accident rings and how carriers and SIUs can best defeat them.

You’ll also find out how to identify red flags, from repeat fact patterns to repeat offenders (body shops, attorneys, medical providers).
