Jon Colman, managing partner of Colman Law Group in Los Angeles, will address the 2019 American National Claims/Litigation Training Conference on October 4 at 8:45 a.m.
In his session, Insurance Fraud – Investigation and Evaluation of Suspect CAT Losses, Jon presents a warning for insurance professionals handling non-routine claims such as those for earthquake, wildfire or flood losses.
Catastrophes offer unique opportunities for insurance fraud. Since adjusters are generally unfamiliar with these areas, they may overlook exaggerated claims by unscrupulous insureds, public adjusters and attorneys.
Jon will be accompanied on the panel by Mariela Perez-Pennock of Olympus Insurance Company and Jeffrey Rapattoni of Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin.
Besides interactive sessions such as Jon’s in the insurance fraud track, the event also covers these topics: environmental, claims/litigation management, municipal law, property and subrogation.
