Insurance fraud prevention expert Jon Colman will discuss the conditions that are ripe for fraud in catastrophic losses. He will host two sessions at the PLRB Claims Conference which takes place in Orlando on March 19 to 22.
Jon is founding partner of Colman Perkins Law Group in Los Angeles, an insurance defense firm that also conducts trainings for insurance professionals. He and his co-presenter, Sheri O’Neil of Auto Club Enterprises, will cover topics that include:
- how catastrophe environments can actually encourage insurance fraud
- identifying CAT fraud scams (water damage and other suspicious indicators in catastrophic losses)
- strategies for investigating/responding to potential fraud in wildfire, hurricane and flood claims
- evaluating fraud exposures and responses with additional living expense and fair rental value catastrophe claims
This year’s PLRB Conference features 100 educational sessions within 14 tracks taught by industry leaders. We are happy to be part of this robust program. Our sessions provide CE credits for professionals in Florida, North Carolina and Texas.
