Insurance Fraud Insights at 2018 Oregon IASIU Conference

Portland in the fall for IASIU ConferenceJon Colman, managing partner of Colman Law Group in Los Angeles, will teach his well-known staged auto collision workshop in Portland for the 2018 IASIU conference on October 19.

Hosted by the Oregon chapter of International Association of Special Investigation Units, this training sheds light on ways investigators can prevent and detect insurance fraud.

In the session, “Forensic Insight to Staged Collisions with Litigation Savvy,” Jon provides attendees with practical tools for recognizing a staged collision and systematically building a solid claim file.

The class goes beyond the familiar swoop and squat scenario and focuses on revealing fraud in parked and unattended damage claims as well as new and sophisticated staged collisions.

Expect to learn:

  • collision damage documentation techniques
  • damage pattern analyses
  • pre-to-post impact statements evaluation
  • forensic tools for proving intentional accidents
  • how to define complete evidence and thorough analysis so coverage may be denied without fear of negative ramifications
