Thomas R. Slezak, Jr. joined Colman Perkins Law Group in 2025. He has practiced law in Nevada for 30 years, primarily representing insurance companies, insureds and self-insureds.

Tom’s areas of expertise include personal injury defense, insurance bad faith, insurance coverage matters and construction defect litigation.

In the area of personal injury, Tom has defended hundreds of cases during his career, ranging from minor impact automobile cases with routine soft tissue injuries to catastrophic accidents involving the most complex and severe injuries/conditions.

He has tried numerous cases (jury and non-jury) to verdict, served as counsel in hundreds of arbitration hearings and served as appellate counsel in cases before the Nevada Supreme Court. Tom was appellate counsel in the reported case of Scott v. Zhou, 120 Nev. 571, 98 P.3d 313 (2004) before the Nevada Supreme Court.

Before coming on board at CPLG, Tom served as managing partner of the Las Vegas office of the San Francisco-based firm of Leach & English.

In his spare time, Tom enjoys the outdoors—he is an avid, lifelong skier and enjoys hiking as well. He loves spending time with his two sons.
