Robert L. Cardwell is a partner with Colman Perkins Law Group, based in the firm’s Las Vegas office. He concentrates on Nevada cases and assists on certain California cases as well. Rob is a member of both the Nevada and California State Bars.

Before joining the firm, he worked in house for a casualty insurance company as a managing attorney and assistant vice president leading and managing all Nevada and California litigation.

He has tried approximately 40 jury cases to verdict and done countless bench trials and arbitrations in California and Nevada. His experience includes large and small auto cases, premises cases, construction defect and injury cases, SIU-related cases and EUOs, cases involving contract and business torts and bad faith claims.

Rob has practiced before the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). He has also managed satellite offices in San Jose and Las Vegas.

Beginning his practice in Los Angeles in the 1980s, Rob defended auto cases for a regional law firm on behalf of numerous insurance carriers. He became an equity partner in the firm and served as first chair trial attorney on small and large commercial cases including death and severe injury cases.

In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his two sons and daughter-in-law. He also occasionally golfs and shoots trap and skeet.
