Patricia Castro brings 25 years of in-house insurance defense litigation experience (and 32 years of litigation experience overall) to her position as Claims Legal Analyst at Colman Perkins Law Group.

Her insurance industry career began at Allstate Staff Counsel, where she spent nearly 14 years as a paralegal in their Los Angeles and Seattle offices. There, she managed high-volume discovery and motion responsibilities in property damage and personal injury auto, premises liability, subrogation, and UM/UIM (uninsured/underinsured) motorist matters. She also provided client assistance and claims department training on the handling of small claims matters.

Thereafter, in Senior Paralegal roles at Nationwide and Travelers Insurance, she progressed to more complex, high-value individual/commercial litigation support and analysis and was responsible for training and mentoring colleagues in the art of motion writing, particularly in complex/dispositive motions.

Patricia holds degrees in business administration and liberal arts from Seattle University and a J.D. from Pepperdine University and is an active member of the Washington State Bar Association.

In her free time, she enjoys the fine art of Tsundoku (exploring bookstores and collecting books at an exponentially faster pace than she reads them), live music and theater, relaxing scenic road trips (with a good friend or a few good podcasts), and being the emotional support person for her two adopted cats, Loki and Beyla.
