Jessica Toney has been a legal secretary with Colman Perkins Law Group since 2017, starting in our Irvine, CA office. She moved to Las Vegas, NV, in 2020 and has been our Senior Legal Support Supervisor in Nevada since 2024. Jessica is also part of our Management Team and assists with the onboarding and training of legal support staff members; she is on our Litigation Team as well, assisting Partner Sara Young and her team of associate attorneys. She has previously been part of our EUO (Examinations Under Oath) team, assisting several attorneys, including Managing Partner Jon Colman and Partners Dan Everakes, Frank Fleming, and Lauren Kutz. 

Jessica began her legal career in 2002 when a small Workers’ Compensation/Bankruptcy/Personal Injury law firm in Vacaville, CA, took a chance on a girl with mostly retail experience and hired her as an administrative assistant. She was promoted within six months and has been a legal secretary ever since.  She obtained her California Certified Legal Secretaries certificate in 2009 and has worked in litigation for most of her career, handling a variety of matters including Construction Defect, Personal Injury Insurance Defense, Declaratory Relief actions, and Subrogation. She has also worked as a Legal Processing Assistant in the courts. There isn’t anything you can throw at Jessica that she can’t handle.

Jessica is a Bay Area native who moved to SoCal in 2007. She has been with her now-retired 30-year Marine Corps veteran husband for over 20 years, and they have two sons who have left the nest. She is always trying to find new things to do to fill her free time, such as hiking, attending various sporting events, going to shows, shopping, and taking dance classes.

With a special place in her heart for children, Jessica has been supporting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for many years.
