Demetria Baxter joined Colman Perkins Law Group in 2022 and provides litigation paralegal support for attorneys in the Glendale, Irvine, Sacramento, and Las Vegas offices. She assists with issuing subpoenas, obtaining the records necessary for the discovery process, and managing incoming records.

Demetria has experience in both civil and criminal litigation. Before joining the firm, Demetria began her legal career in 2018 as a legal secretary intern for the Riverside County Public Defender’s Office while a student at the University of California, Irvine, assisting attorneys in court with trial preparation. Upon graduating from UC Irvine in 2021 with a degree in criminology, Demetria became a legal assistant and office manager at the Law Offices of Jack M. Earley in Laguna Beach, California, where she assisted Mr. Jack Earley in criminal defense litigation for misdemeanor, felony, and death penalty cases. Additionally, Demetria assisted Mr. Barry Simons, an attorney who has specialized in DUI misdemeanor cases in Orange County since the 1970s.

When Demetria is not working, she enjoys visiting museums, going to historical places of interest, discovering new bookstores, visiting the beach, improving her Japanese, and exploring new restaurants. She also treasures time spent with her mother and two cats.
