David joined Colman Perkins Law Group in 2025. He earned his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University with Honors and his law degree from Southwestern School of Law. He is admitted to practice in all state and federal trial courts in California and the United States Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit.

David focuses his practice on Examinations Under Oath; he was assigned his first Examination Under Oath in 1986. Since 1986, he has been regularly retained by insurance companies to complete Examinations Under Oath. After trying or arbitrating more than over 70 cases to verdict, he has left to others all litigation matters.

David has earned several recognitions and accolades, including the IASIU Dedicated Service Award, IASIU Defense Attorney of the Year, and IASIU Attorney of the Year, and is former counsel to the Southern California Chapter of the International Association of Special Investigation Units (IASIU). He is a member of the State Bar of California, San Diego County Bar Association, and San Diego Defense Lawyer Association.

He is married and has two daughters and four grandchildren. In his free time, he loves golf, bike riding, travel, and cooking. David is also passionate about college basketball. He is a member of the Spartan Club and the Aztec Club and is a San Diego State basketball season ticket holder.
