Before joining Colman Perkins Law Group, Rita worked in the insurance industry for over 30 years, gaining highly valuable experience that makes her an exceptional claims legal analyst for CPLG today.

She began her career working briefly for Ohio Casualty before moving to Safeco Insurance Company, where she worked for over 25 years. Her specialties included homeowner’s water, theft, and fire (large losses). After Liberty Mutual acquired Safeco, she moved on to First American Property & Casualty, where she handled a variety of claims as a homeowner’s property adjuster. She then transitioned to Senior Claims Adjuster, handling Wildfire Smoke and Ash and Wildfire Total Loss, and assisting the company by participating in depositions on established claim files.

Rita loves going to concerts with her family and friends. She enjoys traveling anywhere, any way, and any time, preferably somewhere with warm, tropical water where she can explore the ocean’s aquatic life. However, one of her favorite places she has visited is Belfast, Northern Ireland. She and her husband have adult twin daughters and two rescue dogs.
