Los Angeles Lawyer Jon Colman, well known for his expertise on additional living expense and fair rental value claims (ALE/FRV), will speak on the topic at the PLRB 2019 conference in Indianapolis.
The event, held March 31 to April 3, features 14 education tracks and 100 sessions taught by industry leaders. Claims professionals and service providers from hundreds of companies across the nation will attend to network and keep up with the ever-evolving insurance field.
Jon’s presentation responds to the fraud risks inherent in catastrophe claims—including losses from wildfires, earthquakes, mudslides, hurricanes and floods.
He reveals how to spot red flags, investigate and respond to potential fraudulent claims in additional living expenses and fair rental value cases. For instance, be suspicious if the claimant had a pre-existing relationship with the replacement property owner or if they profess to have paid cash for rent.
In Jon’s “Fraud with Catastrophic Disasters” program, he’s joined by industry leaders Mike McKee, NICB Special Agent and Dawnde Pence, AAA SIU Manager.
